With much of the foundation dating back to when the Quakers first settled into the area in the mid 1700's, The Hardwick House has a rich history as old as our country's.

Located at the top of a hill overlooking a lake was the perfect location for Ferla's Cadmere Inn. Ferla's was a very successful summer resort and stagecoach stop. Nestled in the woods of scenic Warren County also made it an ideal location for a distillery which operated during the Prohibition and beyond. (An original bottle from the distillery is currently on display in the new bar/lounge area)

Dispite changing ownership, the restaurant and resort remained very popular throughout the 20th Century. Wealthy city dwellers enjoyed escaping to the relaxing country atmosphere on weekends, including regulars such as Frank Sinatra.

The restaurant has been recently renovated and tastefully restored with contemporary accents, while still retaining its rustic feel. The Hardwick House represents a new era in the restaurants long history, which we invite you to enjoy with us!
